This month I had the privilege of working with Alex Haddox. He is one of my certified Reality-Based Personal Protection Level III instructors. Alex is one of those students who not only took to heart what I taught him over the years, but he has excelled in Reality-Based beyond the courses he took and has made quite a name for himself. It started years ago with his own personal protection podcast that many martial artists have followed with over 2 million downloads.
Next came Alex’s book called Practical Home Security: A Guide to Safer Urban Living that even I got a few new pointers from.
Alex’s company, Palladium Online Security Training Center, offers online training and certification for security officers. The programs comply with all state and national requirements as mandated by their regulatory bodies. The program is for the California Department of Consumer Affairs Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Guard Card.
I am on Palladium’s Advisory Board, and I have been working with Alex on a few projects, and he in turn is assisting me on some Reality-Based Personal Protection projects.
